What are anal douche?

2nd Feb 2022

An anal douche is a tool for cleaning the rectum to remove any fecal residues. It is commonly used in preparation for receptive anal intercourse. It works by gently pushing fluids into the lower rectum, softening stool, and relaxing the anal sphincter, both of which cause a bowel movement. An anal douche is a simple device, usually consisting of a bulb or balloon-type part which holds liquid and a nozzle that takes the form of a short hollow tube and is how the water is passed out of the device.

Anal douching is a technique for cleansing the rectum before anal intercourse. Although douching is normally unnecessary, some people feel the need to douche to ensure that no fecal comes out during anal play. Using an anal douche, you can irrigate the rectum by injecting liquid into the rectum through the nozzle, flushing out any leftover feces or bacteria.

Is douching necessary for Anal intercourse? No. In most cases, gentle cleansing of the external anal canal would be enough. It is not required to do anal douche before performing anal intercourse. Unless you feel too. Cleansing around the anal opening should be sufficient for most people. However, some people may prefer to anal douche to ensure that they are fully clean and ready for anal sex.

How long should anal cleansing take? Anal cleaning should just take 5 to 10 minutes. Again, as with washing your hands, excessive cleaning can harm the tissue and make it friable. A good bowel moment and gentle washing of the area with water should suffice to get the area clean. Anal douching is most safe when done in moderation. Douching too often can increase the risk of infection in your rectum, as douching can wash away the protective lining in your body. For safety, use warm water or saline solutions for occasional use. Any chemicals or fad ingredients have a higher chance of harming your body and are best avoided or used very infrequently. Mold may form in damp and moist environments, therefore douching equipment should be cleaned and dried before storing. Checkout our anal douche collection.
